Since taking over the ThinkPad notebook line from IBM, Lenovo has continued to set the standard for well priced convertible Tablet PCs.  They have combined the latest available features like solid state drives and broadband wireless into various bundles that are only slightly more expensive than traditional laptops.

The X200 Tablet by Lenovo is also one of the thinnest, lightest weight convertible tablet PCs in the marketplace.  The tablet is less than 1.5” thick and with the 4-cell battery weighs in at 3.5 pounds.  With the 8-cell battery, the X200 Tablet weight 3.88 pounds and gets 5-6 hours of battery life.  The 8-cell battery is a great accessory and provides a nice grip when holding the tablet in slate mode.

Lenovo offers a wide variety of hard drive options up to 160Gb and 7200rpm which is the fastest speed for a notebook hard drive.  They also offer a 128Gb SSD (solid state drive).
